DEAR COLLEAGUES

Since 2014, Africa International Biotechnology and Biomedical Conference (AIBBC) has been at the forefront of promiting research capacity building in Africa through the organization of training workshops and conferences with rich scientific contents. We believe that Africa's future socioeconomic growth and prosperity highly depend on laying down a solid foundation for science and technology in the continent.

This time round, undeterred by the challenges occassioned by the COVID-19 pandemic, we are pleased to announce the organization of a special AIBBC 2020 online meeting featuring online training workshops on Nov. 5th and a conference on Nov. 6th. The two online events will provide great opportunities to share and discuss latest research findings and developments in multidisciplinary topics with relevance to disease diagnosis, treatment and management. In addition, our highy popular training workshops will feature leading international experts and will provide excellent opportunities to gain practical skills and knowhow in advanced biomedical techniques.

We extend a wam welcome to students, researchers, clinicians, medical practitioners as well as public policy makers to join us in sharing research findings and clinical experiences relevant to COVID-19 and other emerging infectious diseases. We are confident that through networking and dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge, AIBBC 2020 online meeting in the era of COVID-19 will contribute toward awareness creation, preparedness and effective management of future pandemics and their societal impacts.
